Trauma Informed Psychotherapy for Individuals and Couples

A grounded, compassionate space to heal old patterns and reconnect with your authentic self.

Welcome to Your Path of Healing and Growth

Are you feeling stuck in old patterns despite trying to change? Do you want to build a better relationship with yourself, your symptoms, and your past? Even after months or years of therapy, you might still feel stuck because parts of you that need healing remain protected by instinctive defenses.

These unhealed parts can cause unexpected reactions, but through attachment-based therapy, you can heal them. I can help you reconnect with your true self—grounded, passionate, hopeful, adventurous, and spontaneous.

I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, and other issues from a trauma-informed approach. My training includes Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and the Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM). When combined, these methods help reveal your authentic nature.

I offer a free 20-minute introductory phone consultation to explain my services and therapy approach. You can call or email me directly to set up a time to talk.

Dan's Philosophy

How Psychotherapy Helps

My approach to psychotherapy comes from a combination of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, EMDR, and Existential-Humanistic psychotherapy. I often utilize Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM) in particular for those who identify with childhood trauma often presenting as Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. What you will realize in spending time with me is that I am an authentic, nonjudgmental person who's primary goal is to listen and understand your unique situation. After I understand your experience I will offer tools to help you live with safety, happiness, health, strength, and ease.

I have been practicing mindfulness and attending retreats for over 10 years. I work with people who suffer from many mental health conditions from depression, anxiety, relationship issues, emotion regulation, trauma, and more. There is so much to discover about this world and this life. My goal as a therapist is to help you wake up to the world to bring back your child like curiosity, to help life happen through you rather than have life happen to you. I help people recognize feelings they may not have recognized on their own and I do this in a way that is both gentle and compassionate. As Carl Rogers said, "the curious paradox is that when I accept myself, then I am able to change" and so much of what I do as a therapist is accept you just as you are with warmth and compassion. From here comes a choice to continue your old patterns of being in this world OR experimenting a new way of being in the world from conscious intention.

Much of our lives are so caught up in distractions. Whether its work, family, social media, or friends it can all feel overwhelming if we do not have a sanctuary or practice from which to find inner peace. Peace is absolutely possible and happiness is absolutely possible. My role as your psychotherapist is to help you connect with the peace that already exists within you.

Many people begin therapy with a limited or vague idea of how psychotherapy helps and part of my role is to define that in both objective and subjective terms. Together we create a plan to engage in processes for your highest healing both in session and between sessions for homework. Psychotherapy can be hard work, but it can also be invigorating, exciting, awakening, and healing. I can say this from personal experience and from clients who have reported this to me. Notice to clients and prospective clients

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
